About This Course

All of our courses are fully accredited by FAIB, an organisation established to ensure the highest standards in first aid training, giving you the confidence in the quality and reliability of our programmes. This course is open to participants aged 16 and above, and no prior first aid knowledge is required.

This Basic Life Support and Defibrillator (BLS & AED) course is ideal for anyone who wants practical, hands-on emergency skills. You’ll build confidence in responding to real-life situations and learn how to act quickly, safely and effectively when someone needs help.

What You’ll Learn

  • Assessing a scene and checking responsiveness
  • The Primary Survey (DR ABC): a systematic check for life-threatening issues
  • Giving CPR and using a defibrillator (AED) safely
  • When to call for help and when to stop CPR
  • The Secondary Survey: a simple head-to-toe check for other injuries
  • Using the Recovery Position
  • Recognising and responding to choking

What You’ll Receive

Your certificate is endorsed by FAIB and upon successful completion of the course, your certificate will be emailed to you.

You will also receive access to your First Aid Handbook, which has been carefully designed to support your course. Your handbook provides invaluable guidance for both theory and practical elements of your training and can be used as a helpful reference even after your course ends.

Course Prices

The Basic Life Support & Defibrillator course is available to individuals of the public and employees of organisations. This course can be delivered on-site at your workplace or at our venue.

On-Site Training

£150 for up to 8 people.

Our Venue Training

We are currently offering this course free of charge at our venue. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
